My Guitars

This is a Gibson ES-ARTIST that was only made a couple of years. That said this guitar has been modified to be a "regular" guitar as it came with all these "active electronics" that were cool, but I didn't play the guitar very much...So we took all that stuff out and Guitar Great Willie Donica put a 59 PAF in the Bridge and a 59 PAF in the neck position, put a bone nut in (it had a brass nut) and I tell you friends this thing is amazing. It is kind of like "Lucille" in that it has no f-holes and a block of wood all the way to the back (both sides are hollow). Plays like a dream, sounds fantastic and works well in high volume situations (no f-holes) yet will feedback at will

78 Gibson Les Paul Custom, I've had it a long time and probably played it more live then any other. It plays great and sounds amazing. It was White when it was new, and has faded into this "yellowish" color over the years

Limited Les Paul Classic with 59 Seymour Duncan "Vintage Blues Set" pickups. This Guitar was signed by Les and given to me

Telecaster with Barden "Danny Gatton" pickups ... (the stock pickups where great, but it got to the point where the noise was to much) these Barden pickup make no extra noise and sound amazing

Fender American made Stratocaster with a rosewood fingerboard, sounds great but I play the other one with the Maple board more

Fender Stratocaster with a Maple Fretboard. This is a Mexican made strat that sounds and plays at least as good as my American made Strat, and I usually play this one when a Strat is called for.

58 Cardboard Cutout signed to me from Les himself "to jay keep pickin, Les paul" and yes I was with him when he signed it. Pretty Cool

This is an original 1965 Fender Deluxe Reverb "Blackface" amp. I use this amp all the time, and it sounds great. I also have the original Foot Switch for the Reverb and Vibrato, it is a sticker on the switch...REV VIB..

My current pedal board, I say current because both the effects and the board change every so often. The order is Guitar into Boss TU-3 tuner, Crybaby Classic Wah, MXR Dyna Comp, MXR Phase 90, T-REX Yellow Drive, MXR Micro Amp and MXR Carbon Copy Delay. If I'm using a two amp setup then I would also have a Whirlwind A-B Selecter

This 4-12 Marshall Cab has rocked a lot of people and smelled a lot of stages, and it still sounds great

This was a Kramer Pacer I used in the 80's the only thing still "Pacer" is the body. It has a "Performance Guitar" neck and an old Floyd Rose, it plays perfect it is solid and I don't use it much anymore, but am glad I still have it. This Guitar was my most played in the 80's. Funny looking at it now the White"Snowflake" paint job was perfect for the "80's"

Martin DC-1E that is "electric" I use it for all my Acoustic gigs, Bass Playing Great MIKE RAY-GUN and I spent a whole day going to different stores playing the same model Martin and ended up buying one of the first ones we played that day as we both agreed this one just sounded "better"

"Goya" 12 String that was setup by this cat named "Star" he was from some other planet. However this Guitar and all the other "copies" he setup play perfect, perfect intonation, perfect action, incredible...don't know how he did it or what happend to him.

Old Fender Acoustic that Guitar Great Tom Kruss gave me, I have written most of my own songs with this guitar. Today I don't use it as much, mostly used now in open tuning and mostly for slide

Taylor "Mini" that i bought from Mike Rector when we were both on the road with Thorogood. I played this everyday/night on the bus, usually had "Condo" bunks so I could even play it in there, once in a while I would have to put it in the bay, but not often. I'm not really a Taylor guy, but this is pretty cool

Washburn Mandolin, no it's not a Gibson but it is real, real wood, great tone. I use it on a lot of recordings and will proudly play it live, great instrument

Steinberger "headless" guitar, someone gave me this and although I don't use this live, I have recorded with it. Plays great , sounds great,,,but you know...

This is music porn man, gives me a spiritual boner just looking at it. This combination really gets me in "the zone"

Fishman Loud Box Mini, I use this for Acoustic Gigs, mostly to control how I hear myself. This amp is small, but powerful and sounds great

Little Chiquita Travel Guitar. I've had this a long time and have played it onstage in the past. The Low E String is tuned to A so it is A,D,G,B,E,A
